We know even when you do everything right, emergencies can still happen. That’s why the KONG Club provides our members up to $1,000 to help cover emergency pet care costs. The longer you are a member, the more your fund will grow—$45 added each month!
HOW IT WORKS

WAITING PERIOD
Use funds at any time after initial 7-day wait period.
2.
CHAT WITH A VET
Vet chat prior to ER visit to approve use of your Rainy Day Fund.
3.
CHECK-IN TO ER
Bring your pet to ER within 10 hours of your vet chat.
4.
USE YOUR FUNDS
Pay the hospital and submit claim to AskVet for reimbursement.
WHAT IS AN EMERGENCY?
Our vets will help determine if an ER visit is in order during your consult.
EXAMPLES OF SITUATIONS COVERED BY RAINY DAY FUND
- Difficulty breathing or choking on a foreign object
- Hit by a car or other acute trauma
- Animal attack/bite
- Severe internal or external injury
- Poisoning
EXAMPLES OF SITUATIONS NOT COVERED BY RAINY DAY FUND
- Regular vet check-ups
- Wellness visits
- Scheduled appointments for sick pets
- Vaccines and standard procedures
- Scheduled surgeries

Things to Know
- There is a 7-Day waiting period after you become a KONG Club member for Rainy Day Fund access.
- An AskVet veterinarian must determine if you have an emergency – PRIOR to an ER visit.
- You can use your savings account for any pet in your profile and after use, it will continue to grow!
